BANWOOD recalls Classic Helmet - Matte White with batch number ENW0121

Dear customers, We at BANWOOD care the most about your kids safety and as our first priority we have zero tolerance when it comes to the reliability of our products. We are grateful for your trust and in order to retain it, this is the reason why we are open and honest with you and have to take this step and recall all Classic Helmet - Matte White with batch number ENW0121.

What does this mean?

We always test our products to meet international standards and assure 100% their safety for your little ones. Despite that, during an additional test phase, sample helmets did not comply with the shock absorbing capacity tests (point 4.4) for extremely cold weather (-20°C) and not comply with the retention system strength test (point 4.6.5) due to a broken belt buckle, required under EN1078:2012+A1:2012. There is a risk of head injury from potential impact of the helmet. Therefore, we would like to emphasize, that an immediate stop of use is highly recommended.

How do you know if you have an affected helmet?
We kindly ask you to check the helmet you have received at your earliest convenience. Please search for the product EAN code (8435441827640) and the batch number (ENW0121). They can be found on the outer of the original product box as well as on the product itself in the inside.

What are the next steps when you have an affected helmet?
In case you have an affected helmet, we like to emphasize to stop the use immediately. Please reach out to us via email to annalena@banwood.com or via phone under +34 627570644 and we will arrange a return of the helmet and send a replacement in no time - your little one won´t even notice. Alternatively, we can also issue a full refund. It does not matter if you bought the helmet originally directly through our online shop or via a retailer/online shop.
