What protective gear does a child need for biking and scooting?

A correctly fitted helmet is the essential item on every ride. Knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended while children are learning, especially on scooters and skateboards, where falls onto hands and knees are the most common.

What size is Banwood protective gear?

It comes in one size designed to fit young children. Pads should sit snugly over the joint without pinching, and should not slide when your child bends a knee or elbow.

At what age should kids start wearing pads?

From the very first ride. Pads prevent the scrapes that most often discourage beginners from getting back on.

Does Banwood protective gear match Banwood helmets?

Yes. The protective set is designed to be worn alongside Banwood kids helmets, so the full kit matches across bikes, scooters and skateboards.
